LEGO Ideas First 2016 Review Results

Fishing has always been a central point in Robert Bontenbal’s life. This big passion, in combination with his day job as an architectural draughtsman, is what came together to create this beautiful model that is packed with lovely details and play opportunities. Its creative building style represents a unique design expression for LEGO houses that we’re all very excited about. (SOURCE: THE LEGO GROUP)

It’s unbelievable! The first LEGO Ideas Review results are in. The winner is the Old Fishing Store.

If you’ve visited one of the OhioLUG displays recently, you might recall that we have our own version (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all).  We call our MOC The Bait Shop and we made a few adjustments to suit our brick inventory.

LEGO reports that the Old Fishing Store will hit the shelves in the fall of 2017. If the minifig in you just can’t wait that long to go fishing, be sure to checkout our display at the Columbus Museum of Art this fall.
